Vietnam Streets: Connecting Photographers Through Culture, Community, and Hidden Corners

Why @VietnamStreets Exists

Vietnam is a land of vibrant markets, bustling streets, and untold stories waiting to be captured. When we—myself, Sam Derbyshire, and Adrien Jean—started the Vietnam Streets Instagram account, our goal was clear:

  • Inspire photographers to explore Vietnam’s unique culture.

  • Provide a platform to showcase their work.

  • Foster connections within the local photography community.

Today, Vietnam Streets has grown into a visual journal for those living in or traveling through Vietnam. It celebrates the unfiltered beauty of its streets and markets, featuring work from aspiring and professional photographers alike.

In this post, we’re spotlighting Adrien Jean’s Hidden Saigon Photowalks—a unique opportunity for photographers to experience Vietnam’s lesser-known streets through the eyes of a local expert.

#vietnamstreetscommunity

Vietnam Streets isn’t just an Instagram account; it’s a community. The idea was born from a shared passion for photography between myself, Sam, and Adrien. Though Sam and I now live abroad—myself near Chicago and Sam in Europe—Adrien remains in Vietnam, capturing its energy daily and leading others to do the same.

Who Is This For?

  • Local Photographers: Share your work and connect with fellow artists.

  • Traveling Photographers: Find inspiration for your next adventure in Vietnam.

  • Street Photography Enthusiasts: Discover the beauty of Vietnamese culture through the lens of others.
